We’ve just learned that Coop will be appearing in person at the MOONEYES CHRISTMAS PARTY (formerly known as the Rat Fink Reunion).
Coop and Ruth will be on hand to meet and greet, and of course Coop will have copies of his new book THE BIG FAT ONE, in both the regular edition and also the super-sought-after and nearly impossible to get Limited Edition.
He’ll also have plenty of stickers, posters, copies of the regular and Limited Editions of The Devil’s Advocate, and lots of other goodies to stuff yer stockings....

Remember when we told you the skate decks had been discontinued and that supplies were dwindling? Well, the end has come. Weve sold out of the decks and have stopped taking orders for them. A moment of silence, please.

We have received word that THE BIG FAT ONE is on its way here from fabulous Hong Kong! The books are all printed, cased, packed, and are officially “on the water” as they say in the Book Biz.
What does that mean to you, you ask—
Well, it means we’re officially activating the ORDER button! Yes, you can now place a real order for the book, which is due to arrive in our warehouses on or about October 20th. (And for the love of god PLEASE don’t email us about status until at least October 30th, as we have a lot of people on our notification list already.)

We’ve just learned that Coop will be appearing at the DEVIL’S HARVEST on Saturday, September 21, 2002.Coop and Ruth will be on hand all day, and Coop will be signing the usual array of goods, so tell your Palm Pilot to tell your cell phone to remind you to show up to this car show and musical extravaganza!
(So far there is no confirmation on the Rat Fink Reunion so this may be the last SoCal Coop appearance this year.)

In AUGUST we will be receiving the first shipment of the new Coop STATIONERY SET from Dark Horse.

Voice, More Than Ever Its time for a conference that speaks directly to the issues facing designers today. Voice,AIGAs ninth biennial National Design Conference has been rescheduled for late March 2002 to do just that. Come to Washington, D.C. in the spring and hear from culture-shaping critical thinkers and visual practitioners as they debate the moral, social and political dimensions in their work.
Be inspired by the passion and conviction of The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, ubercool designer Stefan Sagmeister, cult author Dave Eggers and socially-engaged artist Alfredo Jaar. Author, journalist and media guru Pete Hamill will be the keynote speaker, providing a contextual framework for the conference and Peabody Award-winning journalist John Hockenberry will moderate the fast and furious proceedings in the main stage arena.
Plus, you wont want to miss more than 50 corporate exhibitors at the Design Fair, a bookstore/e-lounge with speaker book signings and a student conference and portfolio display.

Sorry fans, but we have just received word that the last of the Route 66 Wrench Devil belt buckles has been sold. Those beauties were made in Australia exclusively for us but the manufacturer was forced to discontinue them and now they are gone.
And a word to the wise: Better hurry if you are interested in skate board decks, because we dont know how many more of those will be made either.
