Parts
With Appeal—
The Collectors' Edition!
As you well know by now, Coop’s 78-foot painting PARTS WITH APPEAL was sold even before it was finished. Great for Coop, but not so great for anyone other than the one guy who bought the whole show.
The hue and cry was overwhelming: “What about the rest of us???—We wanna buy stuff TOO!”
Of course we did a silkscreen poster for the show, but in addition Coop wanted to do something a bit more deluxe to commemorate such an important achievement.
He’d been knocking around ideas with Brad Keech (of Pressure Printing fame) for a while and suddenly the choice was obvious: A Pressure Printing set based on the PARTS WITH APPEAL show—kind of Parts With Appeal, the home game....
But we digress.
So, without further ado, we are proud to announce the release of the Pressure Printing PARTS WITH APPEAL Portfolio.
This fetish object is eight inches square and is presented as a folder containing six prints, a title page and a colophon page, all of which are printed on hefty 130-pound paper using secret inks and Brad’s own patented techniques. The folder to contain it all is also printed, die cut and debossed—that’s all we can say or we have to come to your house and erase your memory—what we’re saying here is This Thing Will Blow Your Mind.
Don’t have 78 feet of wall to spare? Missed out on the giant painting? Then why not get its smaller cousin?
The run is limited to 500 pieces and the price is $200 (cheap!) so click on the image above to order now!
It Begins!
We’ve got plenty of new goodies up our sleeves this year, and for once they’re actually arriving on time!
Yes, here’s the first wave of new merch to stuff yer stockings: the long-awaited vinyl cd cases.
These are the real deal and come ready to hold 24 of your nearest and dearest cds or dvds. Two styles (his and hers?) means no waiting, or it could also mean hours of amusement for you indecisive types.
Order now (click on the image above), so you'll be ready for Phase Two, which could be coming our way (and then yours) any second now!

PARTS WITH APPEAL
Say Kids, don’t forget Coop’s big show!
The opening party (more like Par-TAY!) is Saturday, August 14th, from 7-10 pm, and it’s open to the public. No invite or RSVP necessary, and there’s plenty of parking.
The gallery is called sixspace and the address is
549 W. 23rd Street
(at Figueroa)
Los Angeles CAAnd here’s a couple more sneaky shots, just to give you an idea of what’s in store....
Stick a Fork in Us!
Remember back in March when we told you that the Wanna Fork figures were sold out? Well, it turns out a few were being held back for a big sale that didn’t go through, so instead they came here. In other words, Now We Have Them All!
Coopstuff is the only place these are still for sale, so snag one now because the next time we say they’re gone, they really will be.
But for now, let the forking begin!
New Tees, New QEEs—Geez Louise!
It’s barely July but Sweet Fanny Underpants, Summer is already heating up!
NEW TEES
Yep, fresh on the heels of last week’s four new t-shirts, we have just laid hands on two more. Only these aren’t the regular black tees, these are Super-Soft, dark heathered-gray VINTAGE TEES. Our shady and underhanded back-door deals allow us and only us to bring them right to you!
Made with a secret process developed by Capuchin monks during the 18th century, these shirts are as velvety soft and “distressed” as if they’d been washed a hundred times—but they are brand new and unworn! And the size L is PERFECT for GIRLS!
Buy now—we don’t know how many of these we can get! Click on the shirt to order.
NEW QEES
Mother of Jebus these are the EIGHT-INCH HIGH ridiculously limited edition Coop Qees from Toy2R. Only 500 of these were made and 100 of ’em went right to Coop! We aren’t sure how many he’ll give us to sell so as usual we discourage procrastinators.
This Qee is 8" tall and comes in the box as pictured, which was also designed personally by Coop. And what do you know, it looks even better beside the 2.5" Qee, which (for a limited time only, natch) we are also selling. Click on the picture to order.
PARTS WITH APPEAL!
Yep, that’s the title of Coop’s amazing new show, and we’ve been given an early release of the poster image, metallic ink and all, just to get your juices flowing.
We expect these posters to arrive in our warehouse and begin shipping by the end of July, and are officially taking pre-orders now.
As a little incentive, the pre-order price will be $40, and that price will be good until the day before the show opens. Since the show opens on August 14th, that means if you order between Right-This-Second and 5 pm August 13th, you’ll get the poster for 40 bucks. After that it will go to $50, which is still an awesome bargain, if you ask me.
So for the love of Jebus, Click on the image Now!
SUMMER TEES!
Summertime, and the livin’ is easy—in Cool, Comfortable Coop wear, that is!
Many of you have noticed we’re dwindling on supplies in the t-shirt department—that’s because we’re phasing out the older designs and adding all-new shirts to the line!
Just in time for the big heatwaves, we’ve got four new t-shirts to thrill you AND help get you service at your local diner (hey, the shoes are up to you—we can only do so much). And there’s more to come so keep checking back with us for developments!
Click here to see the new arrivals!
Sneakiest of Sneak Previews!
Hey, you—yeah, you—SHHHHH! Look over here!
Remember Coop’s upcoming show? Of course you don’t—we haven’t said anything about it until we could secure this super-secret advance photo!
Well, we got it now, and with Coop’s approval we’re leaking it to you!
Details on the painting:
It’s 13 individual panels, each 6 BY 6 FEET, all of which flow together to form one GIANT 78-foot Gargantua.
This painting will fill all the walls at the gallery and literally surround you! If at all possible, see it in person. No photo could do justice to the size and feel of this work.
Details on the show:
August 14 - Sept 18, 2004
sixspace gallery
Opening party is August 14, 2004 and is open to the public. If you are going to be in Los Angeles and want to come to the opening, send an email and we will forward it to the gallery.
More info and pics as we get them, so stay tuned!
Did you miss us?
Because WE sure missed YOU!
Our server took a crap and left us hanging for a few days, but we’re all right now and in fact we never felt better.
No orders were lost but if you sent email within the past 48 hours you may have to send it again. Other than that all is well and short of us having lost a lot of hair, everything is completely back to normal here.
Wheeeeeee—we LOVE technology!
We hate to say I TOLD YOU SO....
But we really meant it when we said the toys were Limited Edition. Know why? Because we just got ’em in December and the Wanna Fork toy is already sold out!
Yep, we’ve sold through all the inventory we got and the manufacturers inform us that there Ain’t No More.
In other words, if you were thinking about getting any of the other toys, you’d better do it while you still can!
Spring Stickers!
The fever continues with a quintet of new stickers! The long awaited She Creature finally swims your way, and four new ladies have arrived to tickle your fancy.
You can meet and greet them over on the Coop Stickers Strike Back! page.
Hey LAAAAY-DEES!
Just in time to give us all Spring Fever, the skies have opened up and deposited a whole new crop of Ladies Babydoll Tees into our warehouses—whooopee!
Check them out today!
Back—By Popular Demand!
All right, all right already, we HEAR YOU!
So many of you sent us so much email about this that we had no choice—we brought back the BIKINI BITCH Zippo lighter!
This lighter sold out immediately last time we had them and hasn’t been available in years, and we are still the ONLY place to have them, so get yer rear in gear and order now, because we only got a VERY small number of them and we don’t know how long they will last.
If you miss out this time, it’s yer own damn fault!
You know, for the ARTICLES....
Hey guess what? After more than 10 years illustrating for them, HUSTLER has finally gotten around to doing a feature story on COOP!
FINALLY you can hold your head up (er, um) and buy HUSTLER—FOR THE ARTICLE, is what you can tell them back at the conservatory....
Yup, the May 2004 issue of HUSTLER has a great profile on Coop, written by none other than world-famous convicted felon and all around cutie-pie Jim Goad. The article is of course great, and for those of you not hung up on the whole WORD thing, it’s got lots and lots of illustrations to tickle your eyeballs too.
Pick one up as soon as they hit the stands!
New Year, New Gear!
Just when you thought we’d blown our wad with the new toys, here comes Still More New Stuff to tempt and tantalize you into 2004.
Holy Moley, we’ve got FIVE Brand New Stickers!
and THREE Brand New Patches!
And (hold onto yer undies) We’ve got a Super-New, VERY Exclusive, and Totally Limited “QEE” Keychain.
This is Coop’s design for OX-OP’s QEE project—A select few artists were commissioned by OX-OP Gallery to modify the highly collectible “QEE” figure. This project produced only 10,000 QEEs in all, only 500 of them being Coop’s design, and ONLY ONE Coop per case.
We’ve also learned that most of them won’t even be released in the US and are being sold only in Asia.
Ours are Coop’s private stock, so these boxes have clear front windows to see the QEE inside. The regular QEE boxes are windowless, which means you don’t get to see which one you got until you’ve bought it and you open it. (Terribly Asian, that whole “blind box” deal, but ever so fun too!) With that in mind and the fact that there’s only one Coop to a case, well you get the idea.
We are offering them as long as we can, because as Ron Popeil will tell you, Supplies Are Limited. Get one in haste or repent in leisure....
DRAWING
SHOW
AT SIXSPACE GALLERY
Coop is participating in The Drawing Show at sixspace gallery!
DECEMBER 13, 2003 – JANUARY 17, 2004
Coop’s got a full-on solo show at sixspace in August 2004, but he’s also participating in the gallery’s DRAWING SHOW right now.
Coop’s part in this show—his first-ever offering of sketches for sale. He’s offering the original sketches for the couture swimsuits featured in Augst 2003’s PAPER Magazine.
For more info check out the sixspace site: www.sixspace.com. Here’s what they have to say about this show:
“Our annual group exhibition for 2003 focuses on drawings and works on paper. As the interest in drawing has swept through the art world with major drawing exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art (Drawing Now) and the Hammer Museum along with the rise of groups like the Royal Art Lodge, it’s important to continue highlighting the significance of the medium. The Drawing Show aims to examine the diverse way artists explore the medium by detailing those who utilize drawing as a precursor to paintings and those who’s primary medium is drawing.”
