Also called Serigraphs, these posters are hand printed by human beings using the silkscreening technique. Each color on the poster has its own screen and is printed as a separate step or pass through the press. Most Coop posters have 8 or 9 colors. Colors are hand picked by Coop and mixed to his specifications. These posters are printed in editions, the number for which is also picked by Coop, and are signed and numbered by Coop. No reprints are ever made of any Coop silkscreen poster. Coop uses several different printers and each of them uses different papers, so there is always a slight variance in size from poster to poster —not more than an inch either way, usually.
